We met at Newscafe in Durban last night, that is Musa Gumede,and me (Karen) with Mikhail Peppas, Senior Lecturer in the Dept of Media, Language, Communication, and Translation at the Durban University of Technology (DUT).
We discussed with him whether he had access to students who would be interested to write for Africansway website. We believe it has really eclectic topics and they will gain practical experience because they will benefit from being tutored in practical web writing by me – which I also do for a living.
So watch this space, hopefully we can soon get the students blogging, because it seems to me as if the website team is a bit slack in this department. (Maybe this will make the blogposts pour in!!!)
I am happy to be part of such a growing and very important project such as Africansway.co.za truly it is an honour!
I am more interested in what our readers have to say, positive feedback is very vital and we also wish to see more students African and others contributing to the debates and conversations about our Heritage!
