The First post on a blog is always the easiest – or is it the hardest? At least there is nothing to change, it is a new beginning. Because I’m so amazed at how afraid people are of change.
Change is one of the topics I think we’ll come back to time and time again, because, hey, the only thing we can be sure of, besides death and taxes, as the old saying goes, is change.
Well, we want to use this blog to get conversations going about music, dance, art, business… and street names. Yes, believe it or not, here in Durban, South Africa where most of us who are directly involved with this blog and Africansway website live, people are still all over the place about street name changes.
One would think they were being asked to change their spouses!
Maybe that wouldn’t have elicited so much response and outcry!
Changes of streets name has drawn lot of attention. our communities need to taught who are these people whom the street are named after. This might have a little bit less resistance in accepting these names

Change is inevitable , We need to be educated , informed and enlightened . This will help people to see the benefit of name changes and embrace it . Financially this may be an incurring cost especially to business a possible a goverment subsidy would be welcomed for the cost implications.
